Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
Sunday, September 12th, 2021 after the 11:15 Mass on Church Grounds. The Knights of Columbus will cook the main dish and sides. Please bring a dessert to share. There will be a bouncy castle for the little ones and Karaoke for the youth and "young at heart" If you know of anyone who moved away and you think they would love to celebrate with us, please provide their contact information to Karen Hand @ 205-205-1049 Volunteers are needed. The Silver Rose program demonstrates the unity between Knights of Columbus in Canada, the United States and Mexico, through a series of prayer services promoting the dignity of all human life and honoring Our Lady.
The annual Church Yard Sale to benefit Our Lady of the Lake Social Concern’s Thanksgiving and Giving Tree projects has been scheduled. There will be tables indoors, outdoors, and some items will be sold virtually. Donations are being accepted at the church during office hours or call and a time for drop off can be arranged. We need your old furniture, lamps, gadgets, linens, electronics, toys, books, tools, yard, equipment, kitchen items, appliances, purses, shoes, luggage, etc… Please no heavy, fat backed TVs or clothing.
